We welcome you to Chaski Adventures of Peru. One of the few so far dedicated gay, lesbian and trans gender travel organisations in the country.
Our aim is to bring like minded people to share the wonders of Peru.

Peru is a country of vast contrasts-cultural, historical, geographical and ethnological.
Peru, with an impressive geography like nowhere in the world, stunning scenery which offers eight different climatic regions, divided by the Andean mountain range, where its heights give birth to many rivers that criss-cross the country and descend to both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.

Where many a culture emerged, until a group of curious Spaniards achieved their goal by discovering other worlds, thus provoking an amalgamation of cultures.

Peruvian cuisine is considered one of the most diverse in the world. Thanks to its pre- Inca, Inca and all the immigrants that came to this country, we have an amalgamation of tastes and colours. Not forgetting that Peruvian cuisine has its origins from 4 different continents. The Economist said that "Peru can lay claim to one of the world's dozen or so great cuisines"

Peruvian Andean music is composed by wind instruments, like the quena, zampona, pututo and also membranophone instruments. This means instruments made from puma skin like hand drums. Huayno is an important Andean popular dance and music of pre-Hispanic origin and spread throughout the Andes.
Because of the influence of African slaves, percussion instruments were developed. The slaves brought the rhythms and dances associated with agricultural work, wars and hunting. As slaves were prohibited from playing any instruments, they developed what is now known as “el Cajon”, a kind of box played mainly by Afro-Peruvians in the coastal areas. The Marinera is an elegant and romantic courtship dance. The name derives from the marines who fought in the Pacific War against Chile.
